Books, materials, and warm wood textures add depth, while a dual-desk setup introduces intentional structure. One desk is dedicated to creative design work and client collaboration, while the other supports the operational side of running a business.
As Aga shares, “The physical separation of those two areas helps me focus on the tasks at hand.” Natural light and a view of the wooded landscape offer a built-in reset between long design sessions. “That’s where I rest my eyes between long sessions of screen time.”
We asked Aga a few questions about her space. Here is what Aga shared with The Mill team:
THE MILL: How does your work style influence how you set up your space?
AGA: I have two separate desks: one designated for design work, calls, and meetings with clients and my team, and the other for everything else related to running a business. The physical separation helps me focus on the task at hand.
THE MILL: Who or what inspired your office design?
AGA: My office setup has changed organically over time. I’ve kept what works and let go of what doesn’t.
THE MILL: What colors, textures, or décor elements did you choose, and why?
AGA: I’ve incorporated more wood textures and books into my space. I’m still learning how to keep plants alive.
THE MILL: Describe your favorite view or setup in your office.
AGA: I have a window overlooking a forested area behind the building. That’s where I rest my eyes between long sessions of screen time.
THE MILL: What advice would you give others looking to personalize their office?
AGA: Study your own behavior and take note of where you do your best work and why. Not all tasks are meant to be done in the same place.
