A New Chapter for Seaford: The Mill Opens at the Nylon Capital Center

By The Mill

SEAFORD, DE –The Mill, recently ranked among the top 10 coworking spaces in America, is officially expanding to Western Sussex County this June. Located within the revitalized Nylon Capital Center, The Mill Seaford transforms a former grocery store into a 20,000-square-foot center for innovation, bringing its mission to Change The Way You Work to the local community.

Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The Mill, cordially invites the community and members of the press to celebrate this milestone at an indoor Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.

  • When: July 15, 2026 | 3pm – 5pm
  • Where: The Mill Seaford (Located at the Nylon Capital Center) 800 Atlanta Rd. Seaford, DE 19973
  • Speakers: The event will feature remarks from a distinguished lineup of state and local leaders

The grand opening coincides with The Mill’s 10-year anniversary. Since its founding in 2016, The Mill has been built on the belief that thoughtfully designed spaces have the power to bring entrepreneurs, innovators, and the broader business community together in ways that create opportunity. More than just a coworking space, The Mill serves as a catalyst for collaboration—helping businesses connect, ideas grow, and stronger entrepreneurial ecosystems emerge.

“For us, this project has always been about much more than opening another coworking space,” said Robert Herrera, Founder of The Mill. “We believe thoughtfully designed places have the power to reshape entire business ecosystems. By bringing entrepreneurs, small businesses, educators, healthcare providers, and the community together under one roof, we’re creating an environment where innovation happens naturally and new opportunities are created every day. That’s the vision behind both The Mill and the Nylon Capital Center.”

The Mill Seaford offers a sophisticated alternative to the home office or the traditional corporate suite, featuring:

  • Modern Workspace: Fully furnished private offices and flexible coworking memberships.
  • Revitalized Infrastructure: A complete architectural overhaul of the former grocery space, featuring industrial-modern design and lots of natural light.
  • Premium Amenities: High-speed fiber internet, sound-dampening phone booths, and a community pantry.
  • Statewide Connectivity: Members gain access to The Mill’s entire Delaware network, fostering a “bridge” between Sussex County and Wilmington.

As The Mill celebrates its “Cheers to Ten Years” milestone, the Seaford location represents a commitment to the belief that “community isn’t just a buzzword; it’s the heartbeat of everything we do.” By bringing world-class amenities to Seaford, The Mill is ensuring that local entrepreneurs and remote professionals have the tools they need to thrive without the commute.

“Rob’s vision for The Mill has always given me the confidence to show small to mid-sized businesses, remote workers, solopreneurs, and scaling corporations why The Mill is exactly where they need to be. The City of Seaford has been so great to work with throughout this process, and it genuinely feels like it’s where we need to be,” said Rebecca Ashton Hidalgo, Operations Director.
