Connecting Through the Interest of Giving Back

The Rotary Club of Wilmington welcomes The Mill to join them for weekly speaker and social events as well as community service projects.

The Rotary Club of Wilmington hosted a Happy Hour at The Mill at Market West a couple of weeks ago, and it was a pleasure meeting the club’s current president, Lynn Jones. Lynn warmly invited our members to get more involved and learn about the Rotary Club by attending upcoming events—whether it’s a speaker series, a community service project, or another fun social gathering like the Happy Hour we enjoyed at The Mill.

“It was so great to meet so many Rotary members and learn about their organization. Through conversation, we learned that it becomes like a second family, providing support and opportunities for people of all ages and walks of life. We spoke with one member who joined in her early 30’s and remains a member decades later. One member was afforded an opportunity right out of highschool to participate in a German exchange program through Rotary. Yet another joined in his youth and is still participating, even at the age of 93! Overall, this is an amazing group of people, and the genuine nature of their outreach is incredible!” – Rebecca Ashton Parsons, Director of Operations, The Mill
