Stitch House Brewery is downtown Wilmington’s newest go-to place for beer lovers and foodies with its selection of locally-brewed beer, and choice wine, spirits, cheese and meat boards, soups, salads, a sandwich board that features homemade ingredients, and various share-size skillet dishes that encourage a more social dining experience.
The Brewery’s General Manager is Kyle McLaughlin. “But in reality I am a glorified bus boy, custodian, plumber, and table greeter,” he adds. An alumnus of the University of Delaware, he took up an MBA in Rhode Island while working at restaurants and behind bars. He then had the opportunity to own a restaurant at Rehoboth Beach, eventually selling off his share of the business to move to Wilmington. That was where he met Stitch House Brewery’s owners, Dan Sheridan and Rob Snowberger.
While the brewery was still being constructed, Kyle and the rest of the team chose to work at The Mill. “The Mill was a great choice for us while we were under construction. We are able to get per-restaurant opening tasks done with little interruption.” In addition, they conducted interviews, held sales/marketing meetings, and tastings in The Mill’s conference rooms. He adds, “It is also great to meet and interact with all the other great businesses in the space. We can’t wait to be pouring beer from the taps in the kitchen!”
