Meet Our Members: JoVanna Butler

By websites@tappnetwork.com

JoVanna Butler of Brows by JoVanna is a creative soul who grew up sculpting, sketching, and painting, so going into the makeup and beauty industry was a natural move for her.

She studied skin care in 2009 at Dawn Career Institute and received advanced education on skin, hair removal, body treatments, and makeup. She then worked at the Benefit Brow Bar in Ulta where she further honed her makeup and waxing skills. “It was there that I fell in love with brow design and helping strangers become friends who heal from the inside out with every service,” she recalls.

Five years later, she began to work from home and worked with long-time clients to branch out on her own completely. “It wasn’t until I went into business for myself that I could truly understand how unique this skill is to me.” In 2016, JoVanna decided to launch the start of her own product line leading to Brows by JoVanna.

“My company has been based on building confidence, self-esteem, and connection through the design of eyebrows,” she explains.

Like every creative, she constantly seeks inspiration, and The Mill has given her plenty of that. “I enjoyed the space at The Mill because it is a great place to bring potential partners for meetings, more intimate than coffee shops, and inspiring to be surrounded by so many entrepreneurs and businesses on so many different levels of success,” JoVanna says.
