Tynetta Brown is the Director of Community Impact and Strategic Partnerships at the United Way of Delaware. She also is forming a new company called Thumbprint Strategies with Environments 4 Humanity (E4H), an organization that designs and enhances public and community environments. Thumbprint Strategies will offer strategic planning, project management, partnership engagement, marketing, and design for community environments. Tynetta says she has a passion for looking at community spaces and thinking through how to make them better and more inspiring for the people that use them.
Originally from North Carolina, she lived briefly in Washington D.C. before moving to Delaware where she has lived for the past 13 years. She has a B.F.A. in Commercial Interior Design and a minor in Art History. In 2017, Tynetta was named a Delaware Today Women in Business honoree. In her free time, she creates custom designed jewelry and upcycles cigar boxes into handbags and decorative boxes. She can also be found volunteering in the community.
When asked why she enjoys working at The Mill, she says, “I love the energy that the space has. Contemporary design is one of my favorite styles and I love being in environments that exhibit those design elements with a little eclectic mix of woods, light and glass. Knowing that there are others who are making efforts to bring their business dreams to fruition. The conversations that take place when others are interested in what your working on is energizing and inspiring.”
