Meet Genesis

By The Mill

By Ed Weirauch

Ever wonder how entrepreneurs and one-person businesses grow their ideas single-handedly?  One way is to have a person like Genesis Dorsey in the background creating ingredients that keep followers engaged.

Genesis’ company, Glamprintgo, designs, manufactures and prints planners and develops content that reinforces the message of her mostly on-line clients.  And she has expanded into developing on-line courses and product development which extends her clients’ reach. All from a rather personalized desk at The Mill.

“I take the knowledge of leaders and package that into products which then becomes passive income for my clients,” says Genesis.

Let’s say a person and her business have built-up 300,000 Instagram followers, which does describe one of Genesis’ clients.  How can that client keep those people engaged? “Often through lifestyle products – planners, mugs, how-to components, and increasingly on-line courses… those followers can feel even more connected to the business person and his/her message,” Genesis says.

“I started out as a designer and the business has just sort of morphed into developing content.  And I can carry that through printing, manufacturing, all that behind the scenes stuff.”

So does that make Genesis kind of invisible, or at least behind-the-scenes?  “I don’t mind that although I now have over 9,000 YouTube subscribers, almost by accident!  I posted a couple of videos on my own business and basically have gone viral.”
